Brownies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt butter, mix in cocoa, sugar, and salt. Whisk in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla, flour, and stir in chocolate chips (or save a few to sprinkle on top). Optional--add in chopped nuts at this time too! Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan and bake for 22-25 minutes. Let cool before cutting, and let set before stacking. These are extra good with a bold, dark vanilla choice like Uganda V. planifolia vanilla beans extracted in spiced rum or bourbon!
