Christmas Punch

Warm, rich spices; gentle apple and cranberry juice; served warm for holiday perfection.

  • 3 quarts or 3 liters apple cider

  • 1 quart/1 liter cranberry juice cocktail

  • 1 ceylon cinnamon stick
  • 1-3 pieces dry, sliced ginger
  • 1-3 pieces dry, sliced turmeric
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 5-20 whole cloves
  • 5-20 whole allspice berries
  • 5-20 whole pink peppercorns
  • 1 whole star anise

Mix together the juices in a large pot. Add spices and bring to a simmer. Keep warm for at least 20 minutes on the first heating to activate the spices, or keep it warm as long as you want for easy service. Leftovers can also be stored in the refrigerator and warmed up by the mugful.
