Costa Rica V. costaricensis Vanilla Beans

V. costaricensis vanilla beans are new to the industry, with commercial production only beginning recently. This orchid is native to Costa Rica, and because of the difficulty associated with transplanting and cultivating this delicate plant, they have remained in their native home. The beans are thick and hearty, with 5-6 beans per ounce. They have a gentle, nutty aroma among the lovely vanilla tones, like fresh oats, snappy milk chocolate, and macadamia nuts. 

To save on packaging, beans purchased by the ounce will be shipped in a selection of one or two-ounce vacuum bags to make up the total number of ounces ordered.
