French Guiana and Guyana V. pompona and V. planifolia blend

The northern shore of South America is a great place to grow vanilla beans, like this fun blend of French Guyana V. planifolia and French Guiana V. pompona from French Guiana! 

The aroma is warm and sweet, vanilla hugged in a blanket of toasted marshmallow, hazelnut, toffee, and a hint of maple. We don't detect any fruitiness in this aroma profile; they're definitely on the dark, chocolatey end of the flavor spectrum. We suggest pairing them with gold rum to bring out the warm richness of this vanilla bean!

French Guiana V. pompona and French Guyana V. planifolia vanilla beans are extract grade. You can expect dry, short, and maybe split vanilla beans that are packed with flavor. While they can be used to make vanilla paste, they will do their best work in vanilla extract or after they have been soaked in 80 proof alcohol (40% abv) for 2-3 weeks so they can hydrate a bit.
