This vanilla bean comes from Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, in the heart of the African continent. These grade A V. planifolia vanilla beans are sweet, warm, and fruity, like wrapping yourself in a warm vanilla blanket and indulging in some chocolate dipped strawberries. We have previously sold this variety, but they were extract grade vanilla beans and very dry. This new harvest is plump, grade A, and are ready to impart a mountain of vanilla goodness to whatever application they touch! 

To save on packaging, beans purchased by the ounce will be shipped in a selection of one or two-ounce vacuum bags to make up the total number of ounces ordered.

There is a rich chocolate undertone in these, it's crazy. It had such a deep rich smell, I added it to my mango ice cream base, goes so well with that bright strong mango. Can't get over how much I wished I ordered more of these!

As always, scent is hard to describe. First I'd say these are an excellent value, definitely recommend. Some beans smell "darker" or "heavier" or even more like dark caramel. These have all the smell but they smell lighter. More like a light caramel with a little bit floral. Hope that provides useful info for someone!
