If there's something we've learned from this incredible industry that we have the privilege of calling home, it's that Madagascar sure knows how to grow vanilla beans! Madagascar V. pompona has all the familiar, rich vanilla goodness that Madagascar is famous for, while having the unique over-the-top characteristics of the V. pompona cultivar. These beans are long and somewhat knobby in texture, and have an undiluted aroma of rippling hot fudge, extra dark caramel, burnt almond, and pure cacao.
You can expect about 6 beans per ounce, and closer to gourmet length (approximately 19 centimeters long).
This rare variety may go in and out of stock.
To save on packaging, beans purchased by the ounce will be shipped in a selection of one or two-ounce vacuum bags to make up the total number of ounces ordered.
