Mexico V. cribbiana Vanilla Beans
Mexico V. cribbiana Vanilla Beans
Mexico is the native home to the vanilla orchid, so it's always wonderful to find another variety from this special place. V. cribbiana beans are shorter and juicy by nature, and this particular variety is spicy, robust, and savory in aroma with a chocolatey sweetness to finish. We love these in darker alcohol based extracts, and used in savory applications like sweet and spicy sauces, French onion soup, or as a flavor enhancer in bone broth or chocolate desserts.
These beans are shorter than other varieties, but very plump, making about 7 beans to an ounce.
This item is rare and difficult to obtain and may go in and out of stock. This variety was formerly labeled as V. bahiana or Maya beans. We apologize for any confusion.
To save on packaging, beans purchased by the ounce will be shipped in a selection of one or two-ounce vacuum bags to make up the total number of ounces ordered.
