Mexico V. tahitensis Hybrid Vanilla Beans

Let's welcome another vanilla bean offering from the native home of the vanilla orchid, Mexico! This Hybrid variety is a cross of the V. tahitensis and V. planifolia species, and we can tell when we smell them. They have the distinctive bright sweetness from its V. tahitensis parent, without losing the decadent caramel and cream aroma we associate with vanilla from its V. planifolia parent. Consequently, this one is tough to pin down a clear description, because if we say caramel or sweet rolls, you'll expect a warm aroma; if we say sweet and slightly tangy, you won't expect the vanilla depth that this one has. The best we can come up with is caramel apples! The perfect balance of sweet, cool, crisp, luscious, creamy, and definitely vanilla. This vanilla bean is also Mexican cured, meaning it was completely sun-cured. Grade A vanilla beans; you can expect 8-10 beans per ounce.
